Camouflage is an art developed since antiquity. Camouflage fabrics however first appear in the 18th century and were developed greatly assuming unexpected forms by the end of World War II when modern artists and painters lent their contribution and helped to develop optical patterns designed to trick the eye using ideas from Cubism and Pop Art.
